2013 Lantern Festival

in Victoria Park

THE LANTERN FESTIVAL IS GOING AHEAD ON SATURDAY, JULY 27!!!

Get READY to get your light on! The 2013 Lantern Festival will take place in Victoria Park on Saturday July 27th with a rain date of Sunday, July 28th. PLEASE check this event page on Saturday morning for the announcement about whether we will go ahead on Saturday or postpone until Sunday. The Lantern Festival is a FREE event. Donations are gratefully accepted in our piggy bank lanterns. You can support the Lantern Festival at the BBQ, Canteen, and Merchandise Tent.

Starting at 2:00 pm, there will be community booths, workshops, a sound stage featuring local talent, face painting, lantern festival merchandise for sale, a last minute glass jar lantern making workshop, as well as a BBQ and canteen. At dusk (around 8:30 pm), the evening program will begin with a lantern parade led by the Scruncheons around the lantern installation. We will then settle in to watch the spectacular fire show and performance.
